CIA regroup for Knights

CIA look ahead to Monday night when they travel to Paddington to play the Knights in the third game of the 2009/10 season.

CIA suffered a shock defeat as they fell 39-36 to the Greenwich Admirals on Monday. In an incredibly low scoring game, CIA looked as if they’d run away with a comfortable victory from their first half performance, despite a slow start in the first 8 minutes of the first quarter, but they were held to just 9 points in the second half whilst Greenwich held their nerve from the line to seal the victory.

CIA will have to watch the Knights’ go-to-guy Pete Knetchel who came alive from the 3 point line in the two team’s last encounter. CIA will welcome back 6′7″ Chi Lewis-Parry, hard at work for his return to America in November, whilst Babs Maye is expected to return from injury and sharpshooter Nikhil Lawry will make his season debut. Point Guard Luke Bowler said, “You have to put games like Greenwich behind you and put things right in the next game. We’ll come out firing.”
