CIA into Quarter Finals
CIA’s win over the Westminster Warriors on Saturday puts them into the Quarter Finals of the LMBL Cup. CIA won a thrilling game 79-78 to overthrow the traveling Premier Division Warriors.
Elsewhere in the league Rocco’s Raiders, Alleyns Apaches, Omega Lewisham Thunder, Middlesex University and the Cardinals will all join CIA in the Quarter Final draw. Two second round games remain between Met Trident and the Knights and Hackney Community College and Westminster University.
Rocco’s Raiders narrowly defeated the White Heat by just two points 83-81 whilst Middlesex University v Met Trident Lions wasn’t quite so close, Middlesex Uni dismissing the Lions by 47 points, 105 – 58. Premier Division Alleyns Apaches were expected to beat First Division Camden Knights in similar fashion but won by just 11, 76-65. Finally, Omega Lewisham Thunder looked fairly comfortable as they dispatched the visiting London Capitals 95-82.
CIA fans won’t have long to wait with the Quarter Finals being played in January.
