Chi heads to Iceland

6′8″ Powerhouse, Chi Lewis-Parry, will finish the remainder of the 2009/10 season in Iceland.

Lewis-Parry made several headlines in the summer as he made it down to the final 8 at the NBA Los Angeles Lakers camp, entering the D-League draft for the Los Angeles D-Fenders. Unfortunately it wasn’t meant to be this time around but a solid showing for last year’s Champions puts him in good stead for the future. Since returning to the UK Chi has continued to develop, becoming a solid threat from the perimeter. He returned to CIA to keep up his fitness under the watchful eye of long-time coach Tony Brown.

Teammate Luke Bowler said, “It’s been great to have Chi around; he’s got a big personality to go with a big game and everyone benefits from him being on the court.”

Chi is expected to be used immediately finding himself in the starting roster. Stay tuned to www.ciabasketball.com for updates.

CIA also received some good news of their own after Lee Fraser announced he is fit and healthy after several weeks of intense physio. The Small Forward suffered a serious knee injury that kept him sidelined for much of the first half of the season but we’re delighted to announce his return.
