FAMILY FESTIVAL
The Family Festival is an annual CIA event; an interactive, community celebration in which professional basketball players and award-winning positive music artists, hundreds of young people and their families come together for a day of positive, inspiring and uplifting family fun.
In just 3 years the Festival has showcased some of the country’s finest performers that have included Sky Sports presenter and the most successful coach in British Basketball history Kevin Cadle and former England Internationals Peter Scantlebury MBE, Julius Joseph, Ronnie Baker, Mike Martin and Junior Williams and BBL professionals Chi Lewis-Parry, Gareth Laws, Ishmael Fontaine and many more. Mixing basketball with live music the Festival has also featured performances from UMA and MOBO award nominees and winners, Raymond & Co and Jahaziel.
The Festival also included a youth forum and basketball clinic as well as an Old School v New School exhibition game and slam dunk competition.

WHERE WILL THE FESTIVAL BE POSITIONED AMONGST OTHER BASKETBALL EVENTS IN THE UK?
The Festival is more than a basketball event; it aims to motivate and inspire young people in the community to succeed in life by giving them a focus. It’s main purpose is to make an impact on the lives of young people in our community. It also stands out by focusing on quality of entertainment for our audience rather than simply our players, draws from a wide section of the community (recognised by England Basketball for ‘promoting multi-cultural basketball’), promotes a positive lifestyle and peace between communities and promotes participation; not elitist or focused solely on personal gain.

WHERE WILL I HEAR OR READ ABOUT THE FESTIVAL?
The Festival has attracted a variety of media attention from online, to regional and national newspapers, national radio and even television.
